A Lazy Friday at Work…

A three day weekend is upon us, and mostly everyone is gone for the day and it’s only noon. I think I’m going to leave early.
Do you ever have lazy days, whether at school or at work? Today is one of those days, I think in part because we’re gearing up for that three day weekend, and partly because there was no one at work and we had very little to do.
I dont really even have any big plans for the Fourth of July…I really hate the thought of being surrounded by large crowds of people, but by the same token I’d love to see some fireworks.
Speaking of large crowds, last weekend I went to the ESPN X-Games, held here in San Francisco. Les and I arrived on the Great Highway to see the Luge competition. I couldnt really see anything but the tops of people’s heads, but just being there was pretty exciting. After that, we headed down to the piers to see if we could catch any other competitions, and managed to catch the skateboarding competition. I know absolutely nothing about this extreme sport, but it was explained to me that I saw history in the making when Tony Hawke did a 900 on his skateboard. Basically he tried quite a few times, and even I new what to look for when he actually did it…very exciting. Now I know how jealous you are…
