Plays Well With Others

My Fish Died… and So Did JFK, Jr…

Today is my friend Cindy’s birthday. About two weeks ago I shipped her some supplies, mainly just a bunch of random stuff she is unable to get during her stint in Tonga. I received an email yesterday she got it. Unfortunately, when you ship things out of state you have to fill out a customs label telling whats inside the box, so she knows what’s inside. I’m just happy that she got it before her birthday. I think I’m the only one that sent anything out, besides her parents. Les is on his way to visit her and should be there by Tuesday.

Looks like today is another day in history, regarding the Kennedy family. I was awakened today with the news that John F. Kennedy’s plane, which he was piloting, was missing. The plane contained, not only JFK, Jr., but also his wife, Caroline Bessett and her sister, Lauren Bessett. While most want to have a glimmer of hope, it just doesn’t look good. Pieces of the plane, luggage, a prescription bottle are the only signs, so far, that the plane is indeed somewhere in the water. Where the passengers are, and their conditions are unknown at this time.

I find anything like this terribly sad. Like most the nation, I was glued to the television, hoping to receive some kind of news, or news on the whereabouts of the passengers. Praying for the best, but fearing the worst, we sit and wait. Most likely there will not be word until the morning.

My fish died yesterday. Not really a fish, but a tiny sliver that looked like a fish. I guess it was about the size of a sunflower seed, perhaps a little smaller. I had it for about a year, and yesterday I woke up and looked at it, and it was dead. I had to feed it with a toothpick, and it would eat right from the tip. Now it’s dead, nameless.
