Adventures in NY: Part 2
I think I’ll need to amputate my legs, after this trip – oh my god, Im in pain. I got out at about 9AM and returned about 6PM, after hobbling over to Wendys for a Biggie Drink and burger – I know i shouldnt eat fast food on vacation, but its close and I cant walk anywhere else. The nice thing is that the shower spray is as hard as a fire hose and so it feels like a massage after Im done.

Im pretty excited about my first stop – Rockefeller Center. The Today show had finished taping, but the new show “Later Today” was taping a promo. The best part was Florence Henderson (Mrs. Brady from the Brady Bunch) is one of the new hosts, and she was about a foot in front of me, and she even posed for me to take her photo … woohoo! I watched them tape for about an hour then headed to destination number two.

I took a picture of Radio City Music Hall, under renovation, and a photo of Letterman’s Late Show, on hiatus until tomorrow … missed by a day – but perhaps I’ll stop by again on Wednesday.
My next step was to MOMA (Museum of Moern Art), which was pretty neat … Van Gogh’s “Starry Night”, work by Salvador Dali, and a really nice architectural desplay. I passed on the Museum of Natural History and headed to the Metropolitan Mseum of Art to find it closed for Labor Day.
I ended my day in Central Park, with sites like Belvedere Castle, a few statues, the Bethesda Fountain and Strawberry Fields, which was dedicated to John Lennon by Yoko Ono after his death. So Im sitting there trying to enjoy the nice quiet area, and this guy with terets is across from me screaming, and yelling and ticking … not very relaxing but he cant help it.
I decided to head back for an NBC Studio Tour on Wednesday, perhaps watch more “Today Show” and hand around the “Late Show Studio” – I really need a relaxing day – I’m so exhausted right now. This vacation is going to kill me.
