Aaaaaawesome blooooosom, ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-chilis …

Anyone hear that Chili’s restaurant commercial ad? I’m constantly singing it in my head. Anyhow …

It’s been a busy week for me. Monday we moved into our new digs as you all should know by my entry … since then I’ve been working practically non stop on the shopping network, which is due to launch by the end of the week. At least for us within Snowball. Once all the bugs are worked out, I’ll share it with all of you.

Today was another busy day, filled with work and meetings and an afterwork party. Tons of work on miscellaneous projects during the day and around 2PM we headed downstairs for a company meeting, led by the CEO, CFO and the President of the company. The two and a half hour meeting, held in an open area of the new building with most of us sitting on the floor, was led by the CEO, who spent the majority of the time reassuring us that Snowball.com was in great shape to ride out the bumpyness that all companies are going through right now. Of course no promises were made, just reassurances.

Following that little company meeting was a party for all the employees basically welcoming us to the new building. A table filled with potstickers, meatballs, falafels, chips and salsa, spinach dip, etc … along with beer, wine and soda was what was served, and people sat around eating and talking.

I was thinking today that in one week exactly, I’ll be working for that company for one year to the day. I remember writing about getting the job in this journal and now the one year mark is arriving. No longer can I write about how cramped I am at my little tv cart desk, or having to listen to someone talk on the phone. It’s like working for a whole new company … that’s what I was thinking about as I sat at my spacious new desk, looking out the window of my office space. What a difference a year makes.
