Postal problems …
Recently Wifey™ sent a package via the Canadian Postal Service to arrive here in the US. Well … it’s lost. Not really lost, they just dont know where it is exactly. I mean, they know it’s in the US. They’ve managed to narrow it down that much. They just dont know exactly where in the US. Could be in Florida, could be in Texas, could be down the street.
Anyhow, when Wifey™ called the post office to find out about the matter they informed her that they weren’t sure exactly where the package was and that if they declared it lost she’d be able to get back the cost of shipping and the declared insurance amount which would total about $125.
The options for recouping the money as proposed by the postal guy were as follows:
a) she could get a postal gift certificate for the amount due back to be used on postal supplies or shipping costs; or
b) she could get $125 in stamps.
Since she didnt pay in stamps or gift certificates, she asked for the amount back in cash and the guy said, “if you want it that way … “. Um, no dipshit, could I have $125 in postage stamps. Lemme back my car up to the freakin door and you can load my trunk up. It’s just funny the guy didnt offer the option in the first place … I’m just wondering how many people choose the gift certificate or stamps.
Anyhow, the mystery of the missing package is underway … I think it will show up, they probably just lost track of the tracking number when it went over the border.
