Less than a week …

I dont know if I’ve written about this, but Wifey™ is coming to visit on Saturday. She’ll be here for a week and we have alot planned. There will be visits to all my friends and family, and we’ll be taking a flight over to Oregon to visit one of Wifey™’s friends. It’s going to be a hectic week but I think we’ll have fun and fit in some time for just us.

Today it snowed in the Bay Area. Not really a phenomenon, but odd to see nonetheless. It was mainly on the higher elevations, but came down as far as 300 feet, which is where the freeway is I usually drive on.

I thought it would be funny for Wifey™ to come to Sunny California, just in time for a snow storm.

Everyone thinks that the visions of Los Angeles California that are always seen on TV are how we live here. In reality, its usually cold and rainy here. In the Bay Area, you’ll wake up to fog most days and then have cool temperatures. We dont run around in swimsuits and don’t all have tans and blonde hair. San Francisco is, in fact, made up of people from all over the United States, and very few San Francisco born people actually live in the City. Most people that immigrate here think its “cool” to live in the City, so thats where they move, while those of us born here know what a hell it is to live there. Don’t get me wrong, its a great place to visit, especially when you live in the outskirts where you can actually park your car in front of your house, without paying for a parking spot. That’ll be $100/mo.

Anyhow … I’m excited about Wifey™’s visit. While only a week, we’ll pack alot of stuff into it. It will definately get my mind off of job searching, which I’m still doing, and give us a chance to have some fun. After this, we’ll be apart for five more months and then she’ll be moving here to live with me.

Next comes marriage … then comes … hmm, not yet.
