Plays Well With Others

On a channel near you …

… people who have abortions.

Seems this activist, Neil Horsley, has been photographing and videotaping abortion clinics and the people that use them, and not only has a site featuring some of the photos, but now wants to air the photos on cable channels around the country.

To make things worse, this professor feels that Ï[he doesnt] think there’s an invasion-of-privacy problem. If [the patients are] out in the open, walking around, [activists] can take a picture.Ó

Personally, I think it’s a crock of shit. Sure people can take your picture, but I still think there’s a privacy issue involved when they post it on the internet or on a cable channel. Everyone should have to right to make that decision without feeling fear that they’ll end up posted on an internet site or televised, like a common criminal.

People are so lame..

That’s bullshit, and it pisses me off. I could swear there’s a law somewhere saying that somebody has to get your permission to use your photo anywhere — tv, print, internet, anywhere. It’s nobody’s business if a girl goes to get an abortion, and it’s a major invasion of privacy. If that ever happened to me, I’d sue that guy’s sorry ass off. God, could you imagine if you were just going into Planned Parenthood to get some pills, only to have your picture plastered all over the internet with the words “baby killer”? Ugh…

Exactly… like you said, even if you are JUST getting pills, trying to be a responsible person and NOT get pregnant, and some guy snaps your photo and ASSUMES that you are getting an abortion and televises your images all over the place.. stupid shit.I think there’s a law too, or some of those reality TV shows wouldn’t have big smudges over people’s faces.
