Plays Well With Others

Dr. Phil …

Any Dr. Phil fans out there?

Wifey™ and I are. We watch it on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. Those are the days when there’s nothing else on during that time period. I don’t know how it works in other markets, but in San Francisco it’s on at 8PM on our local channel – KRON. I found it strange that one of the major networks didn’t pick it up and instead our local network got it. This network is sort of a long story, but it used to be NBC until January 2002 when it became a local network and the NBC portion of it went to channel 11, which they began calling NBC3 (the cable channel) until a few months ago when they changed it to NBC11, even though it’s still on cable channel 3. Ugh. I think the networks need some Dr. Phil time, personally.

Anyhow, Dr. Phil is awesome. He basically tells them how it is, without the sweet stuff in the middle. Same as when he was on Oprah. Last night he had this lady and her mother-in-law on. The mother-in-law sends notes about weight loss and controlling your temper and how to raise your child to her daughter-in-law and then wonders why the girl hates her. Erm. You keep calling me fat you old witch and I’ll show you why I hate you. Basically, that was Dr. Phil’s answer too. He’s like “Hmm … I wonder why she doesn’t like you, thats a hard one to figure out”.

Anyhow, if nothing else is on, I recommend you watch it. It’s entertaining if nothing else.
