Milking the System …

Here’s a little something from Craigslist.org to get your blood all warmed up …

Should I have illegitimate kids just to get welfare and child support?

This is what my boyfriend’s ex-girlfriend has done. She had 3 kids by 3 different men. She collects child support from all 3, collects welfare, food stamps and receives other money as well. All childcare is paid for and she has Section 8. Not only does she not work, but she just moved into a 3 bedroom house, bought a brand new car, attends every Rap/Hip Hop concert that comes to town and buys the most stylish clothes. She just went to the Child Welfare office and informed them that she needs more money, so she wants $300-500.00 more from each dad. The agency has already contacted these men (including my boyfriend). These men are hardworking responsible men and this fat ghetto pig, is constantly trying to find ways to get more money. These men pick up their children, by their clothes, etc. If I sound bitter, I am. Maybe I should make a career out of milking the system and finding multiple partners to knock me up.

I work my tail off and some people just get in their and don’t care.

Sorry, but I needed to vent.

And of course the rebuttal …

A couple FACTS for you …

on welfare, this woman might get $650 a month for her and her three children — not a fortune is it? Also, if you are on welfare, no matter how much child support you collect from the father, you only get $50 – the rest goes to the welfare department. Section 8 is a big help, but they do charge you 30% of your income (and they do count child support as income) for rent. Also, you cant have a car worth over a certain amount if you are on welfare or section 8 — they consider that an asset. One last thing — the DA’s family support bureau does not raise child support “because the mother says so”. There are lengthy forms to fill out, by both parents, and both parties have to go to court before any increase is made. Taken into consideration are the fathers income, other obligations, and TIME spent with his child. The amount is decided by a computer program, not by a person you can con into being on your side. She will only get what the court has established as a fair amount — and again — if she is on welfare, she will only get $50 (per father).

Is your boyfriend the father of the oldest child? if not, maybe he should have thought about what he was getting into, and been more responsible!
