Plays Well With Others

September 12th …

Days like this make it all worthwhile?

Actually, the day started off on a sad note and then began to pick up steam as it went along. I woke up to the news that comedian John Ritter had died, along with Johnny Cash. Johnny Cash you’d expect, John Ritter was unexpected. Why mention it? It’s not like I was his number one fan or anything. I liked Three’s Company, I’d never watched his new show, “8 Simple Rules”. What upset me more was how unexpected it was. One day the guy is celebrating his daughters birthday, also September 11th … a few hours he’s dead. Nothing he could have detected. Just a sudden thing. Dead … just a few days before his own birthday.

I hate hearing when celebrities die. Especially young ones. Bob Hope, George Burns … well, they WERE close to or at 100 years old. That’s a good life … a long life. 54 years old is just too young.

Anyhow, I was home today because I had a seminar to attend. Long story short, it got cancelled and now they want to reschedule. Erm. I took a day off of work to have them cancel on me. I don’t think so. If they reschedule, it will have to be on a weekend. This shit ain’t gonna fly.

So, instead I enjoyed the beautiful day. It’s about 100 degrees outside and I’m one big sweat bead. I did manage to get out and do some errands and take some photos of the beautiful day … so enjoy.

I zoomed in on this house that most locals will recognize. It’s a totally roundish house … some call it the Flinstone house for it’s unique shape.

One funny thing did happen today. I was at the gas station filling up at $1.99/gal. and as I reach the ATM pay station to pay, there’s this lady there screaming at the machine. Mind you, there’s no one operating the machine except for her, so she’s basically screaming at the machine to “take her God damned, brand new $5 bill”. Erm. Okay, mental ward patient, whatever.

So, I get up there and pay and it all goes well. Then I start pumping my gas. Again, fine. Suddenly, the same lady starts screaming at the guy in front of her to move his car up so that someone else can get some gas. Erm. Why she cared so much, only she knew. But she gets into this screaming match with this guy, calling him an idiot and everything and then leaves. Everyone stands around looking at each other and this guy in front of me says “Thank God I’m not married to her.” Cracked me up. What a psycho bitch. Makes you wonder what the hell is wrong with some people. She’s probably a lonely woman who’s either divorced or never been married and hasn’t had a good lay in decades. Someone needs to loosen her up a little.

Regardless, it didn’t ruin my day. How could it … it’s gorgeous outside.

I was so sad to hear about John Ritter dying. 54 is just too young. I was sad about Johnny Cash too, but he was a little more the dying age.
