Plays Well With Others

Welcome Aboard, Governor Schwarzenegger …

Although harder to spell his last name than the former Governor Davis, Schwarzenegger is set to become sworn in as the governor of California today. A new day is dawning. It’s not the first time an actor has been our governor. Afterall, we also had Ronald Reagon as our governor, and Sonny Bono as our congressman and even Clint Eastwood as a mayor. So in California, it’s not as a big a deal having another actor in office as the media is making it out to be. Hundreds of actors, political types and the media have descended on Sacramento to see the latest governor take office.

Usually I’m a democrat, through and through, but even I have high hopes that Schwarzenegger will put us back on track. With nearly $30 billion dollars in the red, he’ll have a lot to overcome, but like I said, I have high hopes that he’ll put us back on track … if he actually keeps to his campaign promises.

I guess only time will tell. At least it’s not another Bush. Ugh. Getting him out of office will be the biggest favor anyone could do to our poor crippled country. He’s basically ruined us.

Anyhow … back to the Christmas music my station is suddenly playing today. Friday I think I heard one song. This morning it’s been nothing but Christmas music so far. You’d think they’d at least wait until after Thanksgiving to start that stuff up. After a month of hearing the same songs, I’m going to feel like I should toss my radio out the window.
