U.S. Protecting the Iraqi’s…
If you’ve been following the news, you’ve probably heard about the cases of abuse that have been coming out. Abuse on the part of the United States military against the Iraqi prisoners. It’s not all that surprising, unfortunately. Cops beat down innocent people all the time. What’s to say the military isn’t going to do the same thing.
The pictures above were basically taken so that the military personnel could trade them amongst each other. I guess to see who could get the best photos, who could humiliate the prisoners the most. Get the most laughs. It’s pretty stupid. Ever heard of evidence. Taking photos or videotaping your stupidity always ends up getting your ass caught. Especially if you’re stupid enough to put yourself in the photos… like say, exhibit A and B above.
Even more ridiculous though is the fact that these stories are coming out with the attitude that people didn’t know this was going on. Give me a break. You let a bunch of people run wild in a foreign country with guns and the power to hold people prisoner and eventually you’ll get stuff like this happening.
Ugh. Sure Saddam was worse, but are we any better?
