Wrapping It Up…

This will probably be my last entry for the year and, like most of the “blog” people out there, I feel obligated to do some kind of end of the year entry.

I’ll start off by saying it’s been a great year for Wifey™ and I. We bought a house… what more can one say about that. It’s something that always seemed so far out of reach that being able to do it just goes to show that if you put your mind to something, anything is reachable. There’s a lot of work left for us, but we do it knowing that every bit of work we put into the place goes towards our future.

We’ve also added to our household. No kids, but one little cat that we’ve managed to keep alive. In fact, I think we’ve probably overdone it a little on the food because she’s starting to get a stomach. Yeah… we spoil her rotten. We’ll have to keep that in mind for when a kid comes along. Just what we need is some bratty little kid that we were responsible for ruining. Ugh.

Anyhow, the year seems to have gone by quickly. Seems like we were just moving in and suddenly it’s the holidays. Ugh. Our shopping has been done for weeks and tomorrow, we head out to spend the day with the family. No gift exchange there… just a white elephant/cut throat santa game. We’ll probably end up with a crappy gift, but it’ll just give us something to regift to someone next year. That gift you give to someone that you don’t really care about too much, but they gave you something so you have to reciprocate. Ah… here’s a AM/FM mini radio that I bought for you. Erm.

Anyhow… I’ve got the next 10 days off. The weather is typical for Christmas in California. Cool, but sunny. No sight of rain and barely any clouds in the sky. There’s a part of me that would love to see a dusting of snow for the holidays, but again, it’s nice to be able to walk outside with just a light coat on, not worrying about snow tires and scraping my car down.
