Plays Well With Others

Photos of the Kitchen Work…

Aside from when we first moved in, this has probably been the biggest project we’ve tackled so far. We knew going in that we weren’t creating our dream kitchen. We merely wanted to update a 40-year old kitchen and make it look up to datelike less 80’s, which was probably the last time it was updated. The following are some before and after photos of what we accomplished. The first photos are the original kitchen from before we moved in. Then, there are photos of the new doorway to the kitchen, where we closed off the opening and created an arched doorway. Finally are some “in progress” photos and some near final photos of the finished kitchen. We still need to replace the mismatched the appliances… why the lady bought an almond colored refrigerator, a white/black stove and a black dishwasher is still a mystery. Probably some half off sale. We’ll probably choose all white, when we finally get around to it. Anyhow…

Anyhow, it cost us about $1000… so about a Trading Spaces budget. Half the budget went to the new microwave, sink and countertops… the rest for paint, drywall, misc. trim and accessories.

Note: To see the photos larger, you’ll have to right-click on the photos and open them in a new window.
