Cheap Shot…

I’m sure you’ve seen the story about the assistant coach that tackled the player of another team, after that player rammed his son. The kid was bigger than the coaches son and took a cheap shot after the play was over. But still, dad needs to take a chill pill and stay off the turf. Now he’s facing charges.

Here’s a Watermelon For Your Trouble…

A few days ago, I went to help a friend move some furniture at his mom’s house. She’d recently had her hardwood floors uncovered, after years of hiding under carpeting and some of the larger furniture was still sitting in the back rooms.

After getting all of the furniture into place, she served us a few pieces of lumpia—she’s Filipino—and as we were about to leave she hands me a watermelon. Um, okay. A handshake would have been fine but a watermelon works to.

It’s a Boy…

Looks like the Japanese can now breathe a sigh of relief and stop worrying that they’ll have to be ruled by a WOMAN. Princess Kiko, wife of the emporer’s second son, has given birth to the first boy born in four decades. Since women can’t ascend the throne, the monarchy was in quite the predicament until now. Sounds like it sucks to be a girl in Japan.
