Friday Poll…

Poll: Playstations, Elmo dolls, plasmas—there’s something for everyone. Shopping is always the hardest thing about the holidays. The commericialism really eats into the whole meaning of the holidays. For me, it isn’t as much a religious experience but about spending time with family, decorating the house, and the festivities with friends. I’d be happy to do away with the gifts all together. Honestly, if I want or need anything I typically buy it throughout the year. Unfortunately, you kind of look like a cheap ass if you show up empty handed, so that leads to today’s poll—how’s your shopping getting along?

Jet-Powered Fire Extinguisher…

It appears that the Hungarians have developed the world’s first jet-powered fire extinguisher, which can put out an oil fire in mere minutes instead of hours. I guess if the fire doesn’t destroy your house, this thing certainly would.

The Holiday Crush…

Last night, with the release of the Playstation 3, the holiday crunch has officially begun. On the local news, they showed lines of 500 or more people standing outside of one retailer waiting to get their hands on the latest version of the video game. Even more fascinating was that when the reporter asked people why they were willing to stand in line so long, the reply was usually “eBay”.
