Finally… Change Has Come…

As of noon on Tuesday, we have a new President. It’s something that is welcome and something that we’ve waited for for a long time. I think now, it’s time to stop talking about his race and start talking about the changes we need to see in the next few years.
It’s funny that with all [...]

Just компютри when Americans thought they’d cornered the market on being fat, here come the Mexicans all trying to overtake us. I guess if they get too fat, we won’t be needing that wall afterall.

The Review…

Just a week or so after writing the "Corned Beef" entry about the differences between the small, statewide company I now work for and the large, global financial organization I used to work for, I've found one more difference.

Sit On It…

This lady spent two years in the bathroom and after sitting on the toilet for so long, her skin grafted itself to the crapper. The seat had to be surgically removed at the hospital. Let that visual soak in. Ugh. Her boyfriend claims that he tried to coax her out to no avail. Two years. Like what finally made him dial 9-1-1. Honey, the guests need to use the toilet.

Hitting Homes…

I was just reading this story on CNNMoney.com about folks having a hard time making ends meet. Their stories tell of financial hardships due to fuel costs, mortgages, etc. As I read through them, I find that in a few cases, maybe they were living a life that they couldn't afford in the first place. Others seem to be on the right track.

Flipped…

As I read the news every day on the economy and the slumping housing prices, I have to say that I'm not all that surprised. How many people were oblivious to the fact that banks can't continue to give away money for free and that eventually people wouldn't be able to pay their mortgages and would start walking away from these homes that they never put money down on in the first place.

Corned Beef…

Working for a large, worldwide corporation, I'm finding, really didn't mean that much. It's kind of funny, but when you tell people that you work for a worldwide financial organization, people start listening. They get a little impressed. Like, wow, that's a great company to work for.

The Year of Change…

A great year full of change. I've watched a few of the debates between Clinton and Obama. While it'd certainly be nice for them to stick to issue and quit the bickering, I get a little bit of satisfaction from knowing that one of them will become the next President of the United States. I'm fine with either of them. The first woman President or the first African American President. Wow. I wasn't even sure I'd ever live to see the day when that happened. I'll thank Bush for it—for screwing up our country so badly that the Republicans may never get back in office.

And 2008 is Here…

2007 has ended and 2008 is here. Finally. You know what excites me most about 2008. We finally get to get rid of Bush. You don't know how happy this makes me. I never voted for him, never wanted him in office and now can't be happier that he's leaving. He'll leave the legacy of being the nations worst modern time President in the history of the United States. For all those that put him into office...thanks. Hopefully you'll all start coughing up the money to pay off the debt and destruction your President has caused to our universe.

Time Travel…

Down The Tubes…

The ongoing joke around my house is that, if I like a television show, chances are pretty good it'll be cancelled. I don't get into a lot of shows these days, so when I do, it's pretty rare. And I can be pretty certain that it'll get cancelled.
