My Aching Back …

Thanksgiving went well. A smaller group this year than usual, because my cousins couldnt make it. That right there takes out four people. But it went well, and I spent most of the night playing with my youngest cousin and spending time with the family.

After it was all over, I was telling my mom how I could tell my aunt was starting to get tired of putting the dinners together. Every year, she finds a new way to make something easier for herself, which translates into leaving something out or not making it the right way. This year it was the turkey stuffing which she made separate from the turkey. Just doesnt taste the same when it doesnt cook with the turkey. I told my mom, I’d be willing to take a holiday if I had any parking where I live. Anyhow, we’ll see how things go next year.

By the time I left, my back was starting to act up. And by the time I got home I could barely walk. It took me about five minutes to get myself out of the truck and another ten to get up my stairs. I had a heating pad on it last night and then traded that in for an ice pack. I’m also walking with a cane to keep myself from falling down. It’s a very excrutiating pain that sits in my lower back and shoots down my legs, causing my legs to buckle. So I have to be careful not to end up on the floor.

It also took fifteen minutes to get from the standing position next to my bed, to the laying down position in my bed. I literally thought I was going to die. You dont realize how much you bend or move your lower back until there is a very bad pain in it.

Anyhow, I’m now on 4000mg of Tylenol with Codeine and should be in lala land in an hour …
