Okay, so I can’t sleep …
Yeah, that’s right, for some reason I’m not able to sleep. I actually woke up around 1AM and now it’s nearly 3AM. Ack!
I got home around 6PM and took some Robitussin for my phlegmy throat. The box says if you want more productive coughs that you should use this stuff. Since I’m a productive kind of guy I figured this was right up my alley. I guess I was wasting all those other coughs, but now with my Robitussin, I’ll be productive when I cough my lungs out.
By the way, Robitussin tastes like shit. Not literally, but it is some foul tasting shit. I could actually feel the stuff going down my throat and through the network in my stomach. I nearly threw up.
I’m not really good with medicines. I can handle small pills and thats about it, and even those sometimes make me gag. Yesterday I took some blue Sudafed geltabs that were 3/4 of an inch long. Practically the size of a nickel and I’m supposed to swallow two of those fuckers. Who the hell was the genius that came up with those? Think about it. Sick people, sore throats, probably a swollen throat and now you have to swallow two horse pills. Ack. I managed to get them down after a gagging fit at my desk, spitting water all over myself and my desk like a freaking invalid.
Now I’m using the Robitussin, which is easier to swallow, but disgusting going down. At least with the pills you dont taste anything. Did I mention that the shit tastes foul?? It really does. I usually get it down as fast a possible, gag for a few moments and then start gulping down water so fast you’d think I’d been dropped in the desert for a week. After a few minutes I’m okay and then just sit and wait for the magic to begin.
When I was in the hospital last, they gave me this cool little vacuum tube that you could stick in your mouth and suck out an phlegm that was caught in there. It was the coolest thing ever. Just like at the dentist office, when you have to spit out the water. It just sucks it all out of your mouth. I loved that little thing. [Is this too much information??]
Anyhow, I dont have the vacuum thing in my house, so at this point I’m just waiting for one of those productive coughs.
