I didnt make Katie sick …

I’m still sick!

But if Katie can do an update on her deathbed, well, I guess I can stumble over to the computer and do an update as well.

And by the way, I didnt sneeze on Katie’s card and get her sick … maybe I wiped my nose on it, but I didnt sneeze on it … that would be rude. Actually, I wasn’t sick when I sent cards … of course, I hope Katie gets well, before she licks the envelope on mine.

So what’s been happening since Saturday when I last updated. Well, Sunday, I really tried to do some studying for that final and ended up just sleeping all day … chills and hot sweats are my life.

Monday came rather quickly, and I went to work feeling like crap. I actually woke up really early and heard on the radio that Vinnie, of Sarah and Vinnie from the radio show I listen to in the morning, was doing a Toys for Tots collection at the ToysRUs in the city next to us. Basically they had collected $18,000 from listeners to buy the toys, and then the marines along with Vinnie were going to scour the aisles buying up what they could.

I drove down there and the marines were filling up trucks and Vinnie was standing out there, so I walked up to him and handed him a check to help out and talked to him for a second. It was pretty cool and Vinnie is very nice …

I was actually feeling half way decent at that point … and actually find that walking around I feel better than when I’m sitting. I ended up leaving after half a day at work, because I just couldnt breathe anymore.

Today, I managed the whole day … but still feel pretty lousy.

So tonight is the winter solstice … the moon is at its closest point to the earth. It looks very clear. If I didnt feel like crap I’d go out and use the telescope to look at it.

Welcome to sunny California where we dont have a winter. The temperatures have been pretty warm for this time of year … in the 70’s most days. I miss the wintery chill that we usually get … of course for most of you a wintery chill of 40 or 50 degrees is laughable … but in California we are just wooses.

I’ve decided to make some changes to this journal … I’ve been thinking about it for some time and figure on my vacation I could actually implement it.

I dont think it will be a design change, because I’m pretty satisfied with the look, but more a content change.

I’m going to take out the Question of the Day … and just add it when I actually want to know something … it just takes up space, and no one really uses it.

I’m also taking out the message boards which are a waste of bandwidth … I figure if people want to leave me a message they can email me or sign the guestbook.

I like the idea of having the journal of the day … and will probably keep it, but dont have alot of time to search for new sites to feature.

I’m also going to do a little redesign of how I do journal entries, which you should see up by the New Year.

So I can’t promise that I’ll do another entry before Christmas, but I’ll try. Seems like most of you are on vacation anyway, so if I dont have a chance … have a very Merry Christmas … and play this.

As for the mail front, I’ve gotten Sheena’s present (Thank you! I love the magnets muchly!) and Greg’s card. I went out and bought Miss Laini’s present today. I hope she likes it. Iggy loved her gift. I made her day. Whee!
