Wrapped and ready to go …
Even with my back out, I’m in the christmas spirit. Well, let me take that back. I’m in the christmas spirit because ALL of my shopping is done. That means I dont have to fight the mean, nasty people out there in the shopping malls. Why the hell do people even buy gifts if they are going to get all stressed out and nasty when they are purchasing them.
The weekend was spent trimming the tree … erm, well, I actually went to a tree lot and saw that a tiny, skimpy little tree was going to cost me over $50 and quickly left that place and headed to mom’s house where there was a perfectly good six-and-a-half foot fake tree boxed up in her rafters. I grabbed that and put it together and now have a beautiful looking tree sitting in my apartment.
All of my gifts are neatly placed under the tree and ready to hand out. The only things left are the gifts for friends and such. The week of the 15th, I’ll begin baking eight small banana breads, which will be accompanied by an ornament, a small dish towel and a nice plate. These are the gifts for friends and such. I’ll probably also send out christmas cards at this time … of course, Tim never sent me one last year, so he’s off my list and Katie, well, I’m waiting for her to send me one first before I send one to her … we’ll see.
