Let’s protect ourselves now …

This was published on a message board today:

We spend so much time PROTECTING other countries … we need to be SELFISH this time and PROTECT our own.

Does anyone disagree? I sure as hell don’t. The United States spends so much time giving money to others, protecting others, and saving others that not it’s time to pay attention to our homeland. We are now at risk and not only need to protect ourselves, but also need all those that we’ve helped to back us up. Unbelievably, it’s time for them to protect us.

I’ve heard that Bin Laden made it known three weeks ago that he was going to do mass destruction to the United States and I believe he came through with this threat. This is bad. Very bad. But we also have to think a little further down the line. From what I’ve read on some messageboards, the anti-Muslim sentiment is extremely strong right now, to the point that I feel some of them could be in danger. I dont know what to think of it all.

I have this feeling inside of me that our government could have done something to protect us, but then again, what could they have done. Do we want to live in a country where fighter planes sweep overhead every hour? Do we want to live in a country where the military is constantly on guard? I dont. I also dont want to live in a country where we live in fear of being blown up. So how do you solve it. Who knows.
